Canva, the Design Program For Non-Designers
Canva is a program that non-designers can use to create the many marketing materials needed for a small business.
Materials like:
- Brochures
- Flyers
- Social media graphics
- Presentations
- Plus a lot more
Who are non-designers? Those of us who have not received formal training as artists or graphic designers.
Can we successfully create our own designed items? We can, especially with a tool like Canva. It’s a well-thought out program that intuitively leads you and develops your skills.
Canva offers a free version that is a great place to start.
My Tips for Getting Started With Canva
- Start with the free version. It’s pretty robust with lots of features to get you started.
- Take their design school (it’s free!).
- Try out their templates.
Use the free version of Canva for awhile to make sure it is the right fit for you.
If you, like me, find it easy to use and helpful for creating great design – then yes, I recommend upgrading to the Pro version. You’ll gain access to stock images, additional tools, and the ability to upload fonts.
